The car is being sold for $1,000.00 by a college kid in my town. The car has seen its day, but overall, it's not bad. There is some chipped paint here and there, but there is no visual rust. The car was mainly used in Virginia most of its life, and then was brought to Pennsylvania for a few years. It has only been driven during 1 winter season, and he recently put new tires on it. The car has 140,000 miles on it, but he assures me that those cars are built very well and usually last up to 250,000 miles if you take good care of them. The car has no history report, but he said that it's been in his family since the car was bought. It's been in one accident involving a pole hanging out of someones truck and scraping the side of the car on the highway, but that was repaired. The convertible roof seems to be in good shape, no tears, but it has a few worn out spots. He said that the only reason he is selling the car is because he recently bought a new one and he has no need for two cars; Other than that, he wouldn't have put it up for sale. It's manual and rear wheel drive as i'm sure you know, and according to him, it drives like a dream. What's your thoughts on this car, the deal, the risks, the lifetime expectancy, etc?
Thanks!
