Things getting worse for ITV's Daybreak

Christine would have earned just as much over a longer period and with stable work on the BBC. If she is replaced on Daybreak ITV will drop her pretty fast to hide the fact she flopped.

The BBC won't have her back. Nothing to do with being bitter. She burned her bridges. They offered her the main host position at the London Olympics which would have been the biggest gig of her career. She will never get offered anything as big again.

Serves Christine right for being so greedy. She sould have stayed at the BBC. I doubt they will ever have her back so a long term career in TV is looking bleak for her!

ITV never admits to making mistakes and loathe any kind of criticism, usually trotting out statements like" it's the people's choice" when mentioning theirt shows, or in the case of Love Island being axed" it was still a huge success". No doubt some executive will make a statement on the lines of, " Daybreak was the people's choice and was a massive success in its slot and connected with our audience", when he axes it.

According to that link; "The source added: "The whole point of Adrian and Christine's partnership was viewers could speculate whether they were having a relationship in real life, but now they know nothing is going on."

If that is what the show is most concerned with then no wonder it's failing.

There's something awfully compelling about watching this disaster unfold.

We are witnessing TV history, people.

Documentaries will be made about the Daybreak fiasco in the future.

I tuned in for half-an-hour last week just to take a look and it really is car-crash television.

Poor overpaid senior executives at ITV thinking that if they hired a couple of overpaid presenters they would automatically get a good show.
