They whine about Obama now but Y!A cons didn't support Chuck Hagel or Bob Barr

for POTUS. Why not? Either Hagel or Barr could have defeated Obama and both would have made good Presidents. In fact, Hagel could have been great. In fact, even Huckabee, odd as he is, would have made a good POTUS. Ever since Reagan GOP candidates have been mediocre at best. Why?

most of us didn't want mccain, he's a RINO. not a lot to choose from for us.

Barr? No.

Hagel, I am trying to remember why I wouldn't support. I looked into him at the time and didn't like him, though.

Bob Barr was one of the retardicans that walked impeachment papers across the halls of congress against slick willie for getting his knob polished. He's also an anti-choice nutbag who both cheated on his wife and tried to convince her to have an abortion...do as he says, not.....
 
Um, because we have always hated Hagel, he's a weasel...you can have him.

Barr is a Libertarian and I agree with him on some things, but not all things. Barr isnt electable or a viable candidate, in my opinion.

I don't think Barr could have defeated Obama and Hagel could only have done it if he could have won the debates decisively and that would have been very difficult to do.

The reason they didn't get any support was because the Christian Right didn't like them. Barr isn't Christian enough and Hagel spoke out against the war which is viewed by the Christians as a Holy War and therefore beyond reproach.
 
Hagel questioned Decider Bush and Commander Cheney about Iraq, so he was a no-go, as he would have divided the party. I don't know about Bob Barr.
