I'm writing a paper for the sound design of the musical Into the Woods. I'm stuck writing because I never learned musical terminology -- besides like rhythm and volume and simple things -- can anyone give me more terminology to use? or define PITCH or KEYS for me?
I'm also trying to argue that the musical author/writer, Sondheim, and his statement that "all fairy tales are parables about steps to maturity" is correct.. but my thesis must include the "tools of analysis" for sound designers -- any idea what those are?
