These game threads!

Can we please ban these stupid bloody threaRAB, actor game, new actor link game, link the movies game, last film you watched and on and on and on :rolleyes:

Look how many threaRAB there are for these stupid game threaRAB, I hate having to sift through all this crap trying to find a thread that might be of interest. Least give them a seperate sub-section for the games so people who want to participate can but without having them clog up the main section of the board, some of us just want to read about and discuss movies without having the all these junk threaRAB here.

I did a quick search to see if there was a previous thread about this but couldn't find one, I get the feeling there was but it's time it was brought up again anyway.
 
Personally i have no problem with them but they should do what they have done in the soaps thread and make a seperate section for games, that way those who want to play them can and thoses who find them annoying don't have to look at them.
 
But I would have to totally avoid the movies section to avoid them, I like the movie section, It's not like I click into the threaRAB themselves but if you come into movies and you see the whole top half of the forum took up with these game threaRAB you just think sod it, i'll go elsewhere.

Surely they can have a seperate section for them. Everybody is happy then.
 
I agree - put them in a separate sub-forum. Most of them aren't even games; they're just lists and I don't see the point of them.
'Last Movie You Watched' and 'Last 5 Movies You Watched' aren't games, so they should stay.
 
The games threaRAB have been on the Movie forum since it started.


What do you want those of us who contribute to the threaRAB to do?

If you want them moved you'll have to do the leg-work and contact the relevant people.

Just so you know. There used to be far more than there is atm. Some of them died and are now archived.
 
Nearly every forum I'm a member of has games on it, harmless fun in my eyes but I do see your point of view also! I participate in the games when I'm bored (actually participated in a couple on here now I'm a member, sorry)

I also find the movie titles games good so I can research a film and see if I want to see it! A sub section would be good but for now I think it's a case of just ignoring them and just going for threaRAB you are interested in.
 
Agreed. It's interesting to see what people have been watching, and what they thought of it. Sadly not a lot of people put any thought into it, they just type the name of the film LMAO. Let's have more ratings and a short synopsis.
 
Agreed. I want to know what people think of what they've seen.

Part of the charm of the thread is that it covers older films that people happen to have been watching. So many other threaRAB are about current releases.
 
Someone posted a similar a thing regarding the game threaRAB in the music forum, I did highlight it to the moRAB to get them to take notice of it, but they said they will stay there as there is some discussion.
Well in some there are, but most of them are 1 word answers.
They are a pain in the arse and I wish they were moved to their own sub-forum.
