Hello
I'm a Christian, and I am waiting for sex after marriage. And so are most of my friends, so I'm not the only one doing it!
The reason why God doesn't reccommend having sex before marriage is because of the distress it can cause you, not because he doesn't want you to feel pleasure. What if you get pregnant? Your guy is most likely to leave you, and you'll be stuck with a decision of either being a single mother or having an abortion. What if you get an STD such as Chlamydia? You won't be able to have kids when you're older.
Also, guys are known to be more physical than girls are - girls are more on the emotional side. That means if something bad happens, you are more likely to get hurt. When you have sex, you are not only physically naked, but emotionally naked, and extremely vulnerable. You are showing every bit of you to him. When you have sex, you are basically giving your everything to him. I don't want to give my everything to a boy who will most likely leave me anyway, leaving me broken.
The Bible says that when a man and woman have sex, they become one flesh, physically and emotionally. What happens when that one flesh becomes broken? You're back to being half again. And if you have multiple sexual partners, you're just going to keep getting broken and broken. At first, you may not realise the pain, but after a while, you'll feel an emptyness inside.
That's why I'm waiting for sex after marriage.
Who said the Bible wasn't logical? And who said that God was an idiot, because clearly he is not!
Please put in your opinion, and please, don't be rude. This is a serious issue for me and I really hope that you respect that.
