Yesterday night I noticed my beta fish was not really swimming alot and seen him at the gravel part (the bottom) of the tank and when I knocked on the tank (including today) he would try to swim to the top and I see his fins stop then he goes back down and has a hard time to swim again to the top.=( I never really seen a fish do that before and at first I thought maybe he was resting. But since the same thing happens today I have a 95% feeling theres something wrong... If anyone knows alot about fish problems or anything could you give me advice? Like I said I never seen anything wrong with fish and this is the first time Im seeing this as something wrong with mine...

yea something is wrong with him. If you go to a pet store they can tell you wat to do. sometimes they have stuff you can feed them or put in their water to make them better also it depends how old he is because if hes relee old hes just going to die because they dont live that long but if hes new go to a pet store

If you can't stay up it's likely a swim bladder problem. The underlying issue could be constipation or internal disease. It's usually constipation or overeating.

Don't feed him anything for two days. After two days give him a small piece of frozen pea, blanched in a little tank water in the microwave. It can't be any bigger than one of his eyeballs, that's the size of his stomach and why bettas are often overfed.

Some bettas' swim bladders just get weaker with age. If that the issue here you might have to think of some way to accomodate the little guy.

If there is an internal illness the prognosis isn't good. Try treating his food with kanaplex/ kanamycin.
