There's no reasoning with Bible fundamentalists, but why do they always start a debate?

In real life, at least, not here. They like to insist they're right, but when given possibilities and reasons why they might not be, they refuse to consider them. Don't they know only people like them gets converted into a belief that can't even be defended because it lacks
it lacks logic and is always contradicting.
