or in a nearby tree top. they fly very fast and smack into the eaves of my house and I dont know what they are. my husband says they look something like cicadas but cicadas dont behave this way. I dont know if they sting.. I've never gotten a good look at one of them sitting still. can anyone help me figure out what it is? I live in south eastern TN, USA.
there seems to be a hive of large aggressive flying insects on the roof of my house?
