Toyota Tundra 2008 truck was purchased three days ago. The dealer ordered this truck from another location. When I test drove the truck they ordered there was a whining sound when turning the steering wheel. I was told by the technician that there is nothing wrong but the salesman hears what I hear. Any idea what this problem is?

Have the service department at another dealer check it for defects. That sound usually indicates a bearing going bad or some internal problems. These guys don't seem to care.

Check the recalls on that truck.Toyota announced this morning 245.000+ recalls on there trucks.Power steering pump is faulty, this is a dealer repair, you can take it to another Toyota dealership if they are not listening to what you are.It is still covered under warranty no matter which dealer you take it to.Good luck.
