There is a clicking sound coming from the starter on my 94 Toyota Camry?

I have a 94 Toyota Camry and I am having trouble turning it on. Every time i try to start it, my starter just clicks (loudly). After a few minutes of repeatedly turning the key it will start. I have a new battery and I already took my stater to get checked and they told me it was fine. Could it be the solenoid, or maybe the relay?
Ok the clicking sound does come from the starter. When I try to turn it on there are no other sounds except for a clicking sound comming from the starter. Everything works fine except that the car will not turn on. After i turn the key a couple of times the car will turn on with out a problem. There is no other noises to indicate that something else might be out of the ordinary thats why im thinking it has to be the starter or maybe some bad wireing?
 
It sounds like you have multiple problems. The clicking noise is from lack of oil circulation (oil pump) or valves needing adjustments. But if it loud, it is probably lack of oil.

The staring problem is another issue. You ask about solenoid or relay, that depends on the symtom but you don't describe how it does NOT start. Does your car crank but not start. Does it not even respond to the key being turned. Does it spin and sound like grinding? Come back with more description

i have the same problem. Exactly the same problem. 97 toyota camry.
Let me know if you fix it. Also, my car used to turn on after 8 or 9 tries, now nothing. Not even a slight crank. Everything is fine, the battery is new, the starters are ok.
Had this problem for about 2 months, and after 2 months, it wont turn on at all. Just giving you a heads up before its too late for you too.
 
sound like starter problem if u can take out the starter and get tested in parts store, they do it for free. Clicking sound? sometimes it does that if the battery is weak, but if the battery is new and have power on it I will get the starter checked. Good luck. First check if you have current going to starter when try to start.
