Hey guys and girls.
I was wondering if you could help me answer the question which is the title of this post which for clarification is 'there can be no such thing as a just war' Discuss.
Any help that you could give me would be greatly appreciated as I really have no idea.
Many thanks. =]

It takes all sides to keep a peace, only one side to start a war. There is nothing unjust about defending oneself when attacked, and sometimes a war is the only choice other than death or slavery.

Of course there can be a just war. WWII was a just war. There can be no argument over that. There are plenty of wars that have been fought for trivial reasons. But such a broad statement can not be applied.

War is unjust because of the intentions of politicians, from both sides, having intentions to improve their economy or country in some way, not for freedom(unless civil), not for peace, not for anything but greed.
War, is never just simply because there is always unjust intentions that fueled it's creation.

Plus all the bloodshed might have something to do.
