For this week's lit circle I have to do a write up, with quotes from the book, about a single theme developed in chapters 6 - 10... I read the rest of the book and this seems to be the hardest part to think of one, since it goes between both John and Rick. I don't need anything specific, but if anybody has any ideas that would be great. 
Summary of what happens as a reminder, if you guys don't have the book:
Ch 6: John meets Pris
Ch 7: John fails to save a dying cat that he thought was electric; forced to call the owner
Ch 8: Rick mentions he's attracted to Rachael and Luba; he kills Polokov
Ch 9: Rick sees Luba sing; he tries to administer the test but she avoids answering the q's and calls the police (who is an android)
Ch 10: Rick meets Garland and Phil
