that the Bible was written by politicians not a supernatural Deity?
Romans 13 : 1 - 7
1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
Now this verse means that all governing authorities are put in place by God. Including such leaders as Hitler and Stalin, through Bush, Blair, and even Obama and also leaders like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
So how exactly do theists twist these verses to make them feel validated in their beliefs?
Unless God places Muslim leaders, Atheists leaders, and Christian leaders for his entertainment to see us fight, this does not make much sense to me.
Also does this mean that we are suppose to submit to all these leaders as the Bible states? If not does this make this verse a contradiction to reason and logic?
To a person like me, this is good reason to believe that the Bible was written to control the average citizen of country that just follows doctrine rather than read and think about it.
