would it collapse? even though 75% of all transactions today are electronic, with the increased buying off the internet there isn't much need for the paper and coin currency as most can now be done by other means.
paper currency is needed and with the technology we have could we just revert back to the way it was, bank tellers and cheques?
The economy may take a hit but i wouldn't think it would collapse completely then again, I have no knowlege of the technology the banks use to control the economy.
