I irrationally hated them without even listening to them for the longest time. Then when I heard about Jack beating the PISS out of the guy from the Von Bondies I started to think they might actually be alright. Checked em out and Im really fuckin into them now! They're actually genuine, unlike this wave of nu-rock that I ignorantly lumped them in with. Motherfuckers got soul.

I like them too. They're music videos are pretty cool. The hardest button to button was a great video.

Yeah there not too bad, nothing amazing. I do respect Jacks guitar skills tho, I've been told that he tunes his lower strings ultra low so he can make bass-like sounRAB when needed.

Did you see the pics of the Von blondies guy after the beating? He looked pretty screwed! Big repsect to Jack for that one



Apparently she's not his sister, just his ex-wife, they had a multi page story about it in some music magazine I read a while back.

So you like him because he sucker punched Jason from the Von Bondies? The Von Bondies are more Rock N Roll than the Stripes. Although they are two different styles, I seem to like the Bondies better. All the Stripes songs seem to sound the same anymore. De Stijl is back when they were good. Now they are just overproduced without the raw sound anymore.

I wouldn't say "like" as such, I just found it quite amusing as I don't like the Von blondies at all. Though to be fair I'm a metalhead so I don't really listen either band that much, its just a measure of whether or not I want to shoot the particular artist/band members in the head when there songs come on the radio. For some reason I get this reaction when I hear the Von blondies, go figure

I do agree that alot of the Stripes material lacks variation though, I reckon people are gonna get pretty bored of them soon.
