The way they estimate the tax rebate,the more you make the more you get?

I am married with no kids and my wife doe's not work and I got back $600,My Friend makes more then me and is married with no kids and he got $1200 and so on,bush is making the rich richer and the poor poorer,why would they do this?I could realy use the extra $600,not the people who make a lot more then me.
so I got $300 and my wife got $300,That is just wrong
