I don't know what you watched but it's been getting rave reviews from just about everyone else who's seen it (critics and "people who couldn't wait").

It was very faithful to the comic series which I follow, and the photography / production was brilliant. A lot of attention to detail / care went into almost every frame of the 65minute episode - it was as detailed as evry frame in the comic is! I thought it was brilliant.
Those who have watched / want to know more, we have a Thread on Cult which has chronicled the whole process the series has undergone - from idea being pitched, to casting to start of production. The thread has run for over a year and now we have started a US Pace thread where we are discussing the Pre-Air episode in tags. A uk pace thread will no doubt appear in Cult before next Friday when the series premieres on FX UK and most FX Channels in Europe.
