The Usual Suspects - my thoughts

Hey,

I watched this film for the first time last night :) I got it last Christmas and still hadn't seen it. Unfortunately I sort of knew about the twist/ending (but not fully). Doh! :(

The Usual Suspects: 4.5/5

Cracking film that keeps you guessing. Unfortunately I sort of knew about the "twist" ending but didnt know exactly what it was or how it was arrived it, it was really well done.
When it shows everything Kevin Spacey used to spin his story and where he got parts of it from

Shame you knew the ending... when I first saw it I didn't know anything about it and rented it on a whim, and the ending was so surprising I watched it again straight away. A true classic.

I watched it with my dad when it first came out on video years ago. Reading film magazines, as we still do, we knew there was a twist in the tale but

we thought, when watching it, that the twist was that Gabriel Byrne was Keyser Soze. We were still discussing that twist, and whether we'd guessed it correctly or not, when the real twist came. It doesn't happen often but it left us speechless.

We waited for my brother to come home and watched it again with him.

I could easily watch the last 10 minutes of that film every day and not get bored!

I saw this in the cinema, with no knowledge or expectation of any twist. As the reveal un-folded, it seemed as though everyone in the cinema had the exact same thought (when the penny drops about who it is) at the exact same time. You could hear two-hundred sharp intakes of breath all at the same time.
