The tray on my Xbox 360 does not stay closed.Why?

No matter what I do,the tray won't stay shut.With or without a disc in it,it doesn't matter.After closing the tray,it just pops right back out.I disconnected all the cables,the hard drive,etc.,plugged it back in and STILL nothing changes. What is the problem and how can I fix it?
