I know nothing about cars...

so please don't laugh at my ignorance about this...

Is the transmission located under the engine cap on a Pontiac grand am se1...?

My car has been lagging lately and I'm trying to see if I'm low on engine fluid and it's causing my transmission to delay... is that even possible?
As I mention earlier I'm illiterate when it comes to cars, so please excuse my ignorance.
Thanks for you opinion brooke but if it dont answer my question than it means nothing here...

I was told the transmission is kept under that cap. Only way I can get under there is go to the shop. I'm trying to avoid the shop. I've recently had the oil changed and everything tapped up. but when looking under my hood i see im low on SAE 5W-30. Could that be effecting my transmission?

Hmm, not sure about your car but here is a recipe for my Grandmas graham cracker crust...enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

* 1 1/2 cups finely ground graham cracker crumbs
* 1/3 cup white sugar
* 6 tablespoons butter, melted
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

DIRECTIONS

1. Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, melted butter or margarine, and cinnamon until well blended . Press mixture into an 8 or 9 inch pie plate.
2. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 7 minutes. Cool. If recipe calls for unbaked pie shell, just chill for about 1 hour.
