Is it normal to replace the transmission after only 78,000 miles? There has been a class action suit because the solenoids were defective (I am a woman and know what that is, amazing what you learn that you have no interest in) . The service department claims that this part was repaired on our car (we did not ask them to do this, nor did we notice that there was a problem so have no idea when this was done) and so it is no longer covered. We are told that it needs to be replaced, and there are all these little parts that are making the price climb higher and higher such as the seal around the transmission needs to be replaced. I thought this would be automatic and included in the cost ($4,000+) and that there is a computer to transmission that needs to be replaced as well. I have had serious problems with two different honda service centers and would like to know where I can lodge a complaint?
