Hello all I was wondering, The 93-98 Mark IV Supras came in both The 2JZGTE (Which is the Twin Turbo I think) and the 2JZGE (Which is the Naturally Aspirated version) True? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Reason I'm asking this is because I plan to buy a new car, A Nice Import Tuner car (Experienced with it), I've been looking at the Supras...they are nice! (A Friend owns one)
I found a really nice Supra, 1 Description that I like is that its M/T for the fact, But from the screen shots I've seen It is not Turbocharged, which I am assuming this is the 2JZGE Engine
What are the major differences between the 2JZGTE and the 2JZGE besides the fact GTE has Turbo and GE Doesn't?
I've seen some Single Turbo complete kits for the 2JZGE, It looks nice, but is it worth it? I am even thinking of cleaning out the 2JZGE and slap a Getrag 6 Speed Gearbox on it. (Opinions?)
My goal on building a Supra is to achieve a pretty good horsepower, yet Street driven able, My first thoughts are Get a Supra, Get a 2JZGTE Engine, and work on it, But its kinda hard to buy 2JZGTE Engines true?
