working. Solutions? I have a Packard Bell laptop, less than a year old. It came with Vista, and I subsequently installed Windows 7. All was fine until a couple of weeks ago the Touchpad stopped working properly. When you tap it, it normally acts as a left button, but now it appears unreponsive. I can still move the mouse sybol, but it cannot be used as a clicker at all times. For example, if I was writting a message in yahoo messenger and then wanted to go Internet Explorer, I would have to 'right' click on the internet explorer page to highlight it, and then I could use the touchpad as normal. However, I cannot change between the two windows using either the left button or touchpad. Must be the right button.
Does anyone have any solutions? I am contemplating reinstalling windows, but am reluctant to do so in case it is a hardware, rather than software problem. I have used Norton, but it says there are no viruses present. Can anyone help?
