The theft light is on in my 98 Chevy cavalier?

the car is gutted to be a dirt track car all the is lift is the dash cluster witch i no from experince has to stay in the car. this will be the third car me and my buddy have done for raceing every car we have had to put a new cluster in to get the theft light to reset. i want to no if theres a better way to fix this problem. Or find info on the theft system to completly eliminate, the thefts system. (witch shuts off the ignition.)
