Can anyone confirm (I've seen them both, but only once ) if the Terminator theme was used in 3 and 4? I seem to recall there was a dispute between the studio that owned 1 and 2 not allowing the studio(s) that made 3 and 4 to use it. Or am I thinking of something else?

I prefer the Terminator original version. I remember teaching myself to play it on my Casio keyboard when I was a kid

Marco Beltrami and Danny Elfman did indeed use the theme in Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines and Terminator Salvation respectively but pretty sparingly, especially in the latter -

You may be; that did actually happen when Elfman scored Big Top Pee-wee (Pee-wee's Big Adventure was made by Warner Bros., but the second film was made by Paramount so Elfman couldn't use his themes, because even though he wrote the music the studio OWNS the music).
