Are the ten commandments and ceremonial laws of Moses ONE law, or are they two separate laws? The reason I ask this is that many Christians say that "THE LAW" was replaced by Jesus' commandments and that it is only His commands we need to keep now. There is no doubt that the ceremonial laws that were written in the "book of the law" were done away with at the cross, but I don't see how the ten commandments could have been replaced or abolished, because Jesus said He came to "exalt" them and give "full meaning" to them.
If the ten commandments were "replaced" or "abolished" by Jesus, then why does it say a number of times in the New Testament that we are to keep the commandments of GOD? Why doesn't it say the commandments of Jesus? Revelation 12:17 and Revelation 14:12 are examples.
So are the ten commandments and ceremonial laws separate laws or were they combined into one law? What are your views on this?
