The Sweeney 2 movie - question

I've already posted this question over in t.v. progs. with no response so here goes ;
it is a long shot ; In the last scene of "The Sweeney 2" film (shown twice on ITV 4 over the weekend) what was the name of the music that they were all dancing to, that was being played in the bar by the bloke with the violin while the barman was shouting "no dancing please" . Like an Irish jig of some sort that's so familiar but I can't name it.(I've spent a day on google to no avail) Thanx in advance

The song he's playing is the old sea-shanty called "Portsmouth". Mike Oldfield released a version of it as a single in the 70s.
Hope that helps! :)

that final scene of Sweeney 2 amused me. A few minutes earlier a bloke had his head blown off with a sawn off shotgun. Then next minute they are all having a laugh in the pub!! At least it was an upbeat eding unlike the first Sweeney film.

I never understood the end of the first Sweeney film. Why did Dennis Waterman turn on John thaw and say he killed the Barry Foster character?
