The South Rim or West Rim?

Since there is no such actual place as the West Rim of the Grand Canyon then you are left with either the S.Rim or the N.Rim
Since the N.Rim's roads and facilities are closed for the season that leaves you with just the S.Rim to play with

Those are colder than the norms for this time of year But 7000' in a Ponderosa Pine forest will always be cold in winter
Personally I would skip the bus tour>I mean it's 4.5 hours from LAS to GCNP and instead book a tour on a carrier like Scenic Airlines-Airline Code YR-
You also may want to consider just renting a car and drivingg it
 
I am planning to go to Las Vegas and would like to see the Grand Canyon on a Bus Tour. This will be my first time to the Grand Canyon. I would like to get advices from which side of the Grand Canyon I should visit (South, West, or North). I am interested in scenery and sightseeing. And also what company should I book with? I researched on the internet and there were so many companies that offer the tours.

Anybody has been on tours to the Grand Canyon. Your comments will be very helpful because I am looking forward to having a great trip so I'd like to spend my time and money wisely.
