The sources on my installer (jail broke ipod) says it is going down soon...questions?

Just jail broke my ipod using quickfreedom, my installer app isn't working. I looked and I only have one source, its Rip Dev and it says that its shuting down soon...does this explain why my installer won't work. It just says "not found." Will choose best answer!
 
Reset it. press and hold the on/off and home button same time until theres something that says slide to power off. after that, again, press and hold the on/off and home button same time until the apple pops up. then wait until the home screen pops up. try it...it might work. idk...
