The sound won't play from the videos on my iphone, does anybody know why this is and

how to fix it? After purchasing an iphone i synced my music and videos to it, but whenever i try to watch one of my videos the video plays but the sound does not. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it so the sound for the video will play?
