The Sorcerers Apprentice

Watched it today, wasn't expecting much as it has Nicolas Cage in it. Just lately his films have been very poor.

Although the film wasn't a classic it was worth watching. Although not exactly sure they casting director should keep his job. All of the characters were wrong, they just didn't fit in my opinion.

I reckon this is a film you should watch if you have 2 hours to spare and want a film you can switch your mind off to.

Surprised that this hasn't been mentioned much. Despite a really poor and unrepresentative trailer, this film has a lot going for it.
Nic Cage's career has been drifting all over the place for years, but he seems to have a bit of fun with this role.
There are some nice visual effect touches that are worth a look.
But most of all, it's worth it for Alfred Molina, who makes a terrific baddie.

Review here.

Saw this today. Not bad. Passes the time easily. Pretty entertaining for a PG Disney flick. Special effects were impressive as usual considering it's Jerry Bruckheimer producing.

Alfred Molina was a great baddie. Nic Cage was quite tame in comparison, i was hoping he'd be more wild and out there but he kept his cool throughout. I really, really like Jay Baruchel, very likeable actor and he does comedy very, very well.

Oh, and they showed the trailer for Tron Legacy. Looks amazing!!!

I thought this was an ok film. The screenplay needed anothere rewrite. And the amount of SFX cut back to allow more story and characterization.
I agree with Mr Super about Jay Baruchel. He could be one to watch for the future.
