The Sims 2: PC PROBLEM! LAKE FLASH RED/BLACK!?

Ever since I have played the sims 2 on my Windows, the Lakes always flash red and black! However, when i view them from the neighborhood, their blue. How do I fix this problem so that the lakes are blue even when i'm on the lot.?
 
this happened to me a while ago with my old computer. the problem is your graphics card. you need to buy a new onee. the one you have right now, isn't good enough for a game with such advanced graphics as the sims 2. you can look online to find a good onee. however, i do not know the specifics of the graphics card, but i do know that this is your problem. good luckk!<333
