The shot the doctor gives on your forearm?

I went for like a really late check up (I missed a year and a half) today.
I'm fifteen. And the doctor gave me some vaccinations and blood test and stuff.
But then there's this shot I always get, I think it's to test something in my body.
It's injected into the forearm, and the skin where it's injected kind of swells up like a little bump.
The doctor said to come back if it hurts or something, but I kind of zoned out at that point because she was trying to take my blood.

Right now, where I got the shot, it's a big red patch and sort of like a bump wherever the red patch is. The skin feels really warm, but it's not really hurting.

I just wanted to know what this shot was testing for, and whether this means I'm positive or negative of whatever the shot tested me for.
