The "Seperaton" Rule really needs to go, it's wrecking our game?

dont you reckon that this "separation" rule is an absolute joke, eg. how that try to alex glenn was given in round 26 vs cowboys i will never know, it started in his right hand, fell out and because he still had a pinkie on it with his left hand, it was awarded, surely common sense has to prevail here and the player must have control, if you arent in control of the ball, you cant score, like if that was in the field of play, it would be called a knock on so quickly, but cos its in goals and theres a fingernail on the ball, its a try, seriously, i got no idea on these grounding ones these days, all i know is common sense must prevail for our game to move forward. there havnt been any newer examples, but im sure everyone knows what im talking about, there have been heaps this year, what do you think, if there is no seperation even though there seems to be no downward pressure, award it, or use common sense and if they dont have control, but still have a fingernail on, dont give it?
