Looks interesting enough, I will definatly check out the first few episodes. Any idea what channel this will land on or is it straight to DVD?

No, this is a feature length film, made in Ireland.
I don't know if it'll come to the States or not. But since this is distributed by Buena Vista International, Disney gets the first look.

Looking at the main character being a boy it might premiere on Disney XD

My guess is that Disney will release the movie as a DTV first.
