The s60 market is low, making way for new phones?

I was messing around looking at x1387's prices and noticed some interesting price changes. Everthing seems to be generally lower, most notably the N90. The N90 was well over $500 for the longest time, despite smaller devices outperforming it at a cheaper price. Now it sits at about a solid $400. Take a look.

I think this is the first sign of the storm coming. It feels like these new prices are making way for an initial $900 N95 release and a quick drop to $750 or similar, like the N93.

What say you?
 
nah. a better and more informative comparison would be to take the last 12 months or so, see what phones debuted at compared to what they're at now, and how long between the two. That would show how fast prices are dropping and how long the drops take. The N90? That phone's at least a year old. The N80 would be a better indicator. Came out at 1k, dropped pretty quick to about $500, and now where's it at? I wish someone would have been keeping track of all these.
 
That's like making notes over the course of a relationship with a girl so you remember anniversaries and stuff! Only girls do that! We live in the moment!

I bought the N80 at $639 sometime in June. Now it's a little over $500 from x1387. THAT'S a dramatic drop.

I'm really more interested in the N90's price changes. There was a long time when it was still $500-600 when the N73 was out at $550 or less. Where's Toaster?!

That's what I mean. We're (most of us) guys here. We don't take the time to notice prices unless they directly affect us and only at that moment. As soon as the price drops, that's all we care about. We become more concerned with buying it for that cheaper price than caring about the trend of the value itself.
 
Also, I don't know if this has already been covered, but I was just looking through nokiausa.com today and I noticed that the N80 has dropped in price to 539.99, and the E70 has dropped to 389.99 (glad I returned my E70 when I did).

If nokia is doing these price reductions themselves, I think its safe to say they are not only getting ready to truly push some of their products in north america, but also looking to allow the newer models to come through with more of a bang -
