The Royle Family Christmas 2010?

Sorry dont know if there is another thread on this already but just wanted to know if anyone knows if they are making another christmas special.
 
It was very funny in places.

Dave trying to remember his Mum & Dad's favourite show whilst sitting in front of the telly watching the One Show and remembering it was the same show his Mum & Dad loved so much.

The Lily Allen song on the car radio and them all singing along.

Jim sitting on the toilet whilst the others tried to get a decent picture on the TV.

Personally I thought it was better than the previous specail, The New Sofa which I found to be a bit old hat with the turkey not being defrosted, etc.....
 
They repeated it a few weeks back, and I enjoyed it a lot. The trouble with these Christmas specials is that the expectations are always so high that they never meet them. When you watch again, with lower expectations, you can find it's a lot better than you first thought.

Or so I found anyway.
 
It was reported in the tabloiRAB that the BBC wanted two more Christmas specials after the success of the 2008 episode but no official announcement was ever made. Last year's obviously aired but was only officially announced in the press pack in Novemeber so we may have to wait until that time this year to be sure.
 
Tsk, tsk, people are really slipping. Half a page of posts, but no-one has stepped in the the RAB Royle Family thread cliche, "It should have stopped after The Queen of Sheba." :rolleyes:
 
You might aswell be the first Pizza. Its a shame that every thread about this show descenRAB into it should have finished then or the last two specials have been rubbish etc.

The OP just wanted to know if it was on this year not everyone's opinions on the quality.
