This has started airing in the UK. I've caught two episodes so far.
It's enjoyable (often laugh out loud funny) but sometimes I don't think the visuals work. My two key concerns:
1. Sometimes the character animation doesn't match the dialogue. This is most often true with Gervais himself. If you've seen actual footage of him talking to Karl then some of the expressions chosen don't seem right (they'll often show him genuinely frustrated when the voice makes it clear he's more egging Karl on).
2. Culture differences. Obviously the audio is three British guys talking and so we get alot of references and culture differences. However, the animators prioritise the American interpretation. During the segment about super powers, Karl mistakenly calls Lois Lane 'Lewis'. This leads to a brief joke about said individual being Superman's little known pen pal, but the name gets spelled as 'Louis'. Likewise, a discussion about 'caveman's pants' seems to visually focus on the American meaning behind the word.
