The reason why we can debate god's existence and the bible being fact is because...

...neither sid has proof correct? If there was p[roof for there either being and existing god or not then we would have no need to debate them. The folks debating against a god existing or the bible being true, Understand this point very well.
On the other hand religious folks will not give an inch to the idea thay may be wrong about the existence of god and the bible to be factual. Even after they admit that a god cannot be proved or disproved. What is it that confuses religious folks so badly into believing they know for absolute fact about god and the bible? And not have the backbone to admit they could be wrong?
ASH Sorry buddy but i disagree with you here is why? If you are going to make a bold statement that you know that god exists because of what you have experienced. Then here is a couple things you might want to keep in mind. First since you can't see, hear, talk to god as you would your neighbor, And i am fairly sure that god hasn't appeared to you and told you he is god. Then what you are doing is only labeling thise experinece as from being from god. But again of course no proof. Secondly NOthing has ever been proved about the supe natual. Thirdly. In order to know if if god is sending you messages then you would definitely need to know everything there is about how the brain and mind works and all of its capabilities. Even our technology will tell you that we are far from know all there is to know about the mind. But even science will tell you that these messages folks believe they get by believing in god may be actually from their own Sub conscious minds
VANITY First of all Vanity you cannot have something be a feeling unless the feeling comes right after the word feel. so by you saying (I feel that there is proof that there is a god) So right off the bat you have been wrong about using your grammer Secondly Vanity your are right it doesn't take backbone to explore possibilities but it does indeed take backbone to admit that there are other possibilities about god. And one of those possibilities is that god doesn't exist. Honestly how many religious folks will say that there is a possibility that god doesn't exist. You know as well as i do that goes against there faith so they are already close minded and unable to admit there is a possibilitiy which says god doesn't existl and you know what is a kick Vanity There faith is so weak that it stops them from being accurate as well as able to keep their faith by just saying yes there is that possibility god doesn't exist but i don't believe it

Incorrect. The reason why people debate God's existence or not and the Bible being fact or not, is because atheists and non-believers MUST have fact in order to believe in anything. Believers do not require fact because they have faith and their faith is their fact.

I would never "give an inch to the idea that I may be wrong about God and the Bible to be factual". Just as an atheist or non-believer keeps their own convictions about their opinions. I am personally not "confused" about believing that God and the Bible are fact. It is just the way it is. Since you mentioned "backbone", if I were wrong about my assurance and trust in God, you would not even be here to ask this question.

You seem to have an obsession with PROOF. No "proof" will be given to anyone about God, regardless of how educated in technology or science or capabilities of the mind they may have. People also cannot see, hear, smell, or taste carbon monoxide, yet every person believes it exists. You are correct about one thing. God has not spoken to any human directly (other than Jesus) because He cannot tolerate sin in any way. If science says that believers get "messages" from God that might be from their own subconscious minds, why don't atheists and non-believers get messages from God as well?

You really can't get this through your head can you?
Religion is NOT science!
Anything to do with God is about FAITH!
I need no proof of God. I believe and know that God exists. I do not need to prove that to you or anybody. It is by faith alone that I serve God in my life.

Your question only proves that you have no faith and will NEVER understand what this means.
As long as you continue to try to "prove" God - you will never come to know God.
It's not about proofs! (this is not mathematics) This is about THEOLOGY!

(which you just proved again that you don't have a clue)

I need God, therefore I want to believe He exists. So I do. Then I go about my day. At the end of the day, I thank Him for another day.
Your free to believe what you want. Ain't it grand?

Wrong, only christians debate the existence of god.

I have no more need to argue over the existence of god than I do the existence of the tooth fairy. However if a christian wants me to believe in god all I ask is they provide incontrovertible evidence that he exists.

I feel that there is proof that there is a God and explaining it would mean that the other interested party would want to hear it, and not use it as a weapon to undermine someone else's beliefs. It doesn't take backbone to explore all possibilities. It takes time and diligence and an interest. When one has interests they explore the negative and the positive aspects of it all and the opposing aspects of what they believe or the theories that go against it, so therefore there is nothing spineless about knowing, whereas: all I see here are people caught up in the lives of others with no backbone to have their own life or be on their own.....because they have to impress their peers and/or know no other way.....sad..
