The Real Ghostbusters: Your Favorite Moment

One that I've found interesting, though odd is Egon's line Winston in Slimer Come Home: "I just want to you to know, I'm having a wonderful time."

Ray: I have a theory that if I sit in the same place, I'll eventually see someone I haven't seen in years.

Egon: That's ridiculous.

Just then, Ray saw his old teacher stop at the red light nearby and Egon looked dumbfounded.

Most of these moments are brought to you by Dr. Peter Venkman.

In "the Spirit of Aunt Louis" Peter screamed bloody murder when Slimer messed up his bed when he was trying to take a nap.

"The Revenge of Murry the Mantis": Peter: "It means if Darth Vader is willing to loan us the Death Star, we might have a chance. MIGHT!"

"Captain Steel Saves the Day" : Where are you going? Peter: To find Ray's marbles. Then I'm gonna put'em in a sock and beat him unconscious with them.

ray: look up in the sky
winston: i cant belive he said that

"Citizen Slimer"

Egon: I'm not going to talk to you for at least a week. Its not good for me.

Peter: Hey don't make fun. This is how I made it through college.

Last Train to Oblivion

Peter: I've always loved trains, ever since I was a little boy. I used to dream about driving a big locomotive. I studied engineering in college for two years before I found out it didn't have anything to do with trains.

Knock Knock!
Who's there?
Dishes!
Dishes who?
Dishes the Ghostbusters, come on out!
Ghostbusters?? AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!

I hardly can remember the show, so I assume the moments that stay with me were my favorites.

during a mob rumble between vampires and wereeolves, one of the GBs, probably Egon says something like "If a vampire bites you, you become a vampire, and if a werewolf bites you, you become a werewolf. I don't want to be around to see this." Not an exact quote, but then they all start mutating into bat-wolves.

The Boogey Man, in an unusually scarey ep, has a network to all the kids' clossets in the city. Before Little Monsters, before Monsters Inc.

Ghost versions of the GBs bust the Real GBs and put them in a cantainment unit for humans. Ghost Egon was so cool-looking.

Well if there is any one episode where there is perhaps the funniest lines it's from the episode "The Devil to Pay" (In this episode the Ghostbusters end up on a game show called "Race the Devil", and in their final event, the poor Ghostbusters are strapped to a giant roulette wheel, and there is a very large ball that will drop on one of them unless they fess up to the things they did.

Now that I have the info in front of me, well Here's the actual lines (and this is the entire convo.

First up Winston Admits:

Winston: Uh, Okay, I took twenty dollars out of petty cash to buy my girlfriend a birthday present and I, uh didn't tell anyone.

Dib Devlin: Truly pathetic...But that's not it...Sorry! Next....

Peter: Alright, Alright, you got me. Last week, Janine was taking a shower upstairs, uh and I...

Egon: YOU PEEKED?!!!

Peter: Nooo! But I did send Slimer up the waterpipe, and told him she had a donut in her shower cap.

Dib Devlin: Sorry! I estimate seconds before it (The Giant Ball) jumps the track and flattens one of you! Talk fast!

Egon: In College I got an A minus on a test, and my parents wouldn't talk to me for a week!

Peter (to Dib Devlin, the hose of the show talkning about Egon):
Could you drop the Ball on Him?!!!

Dib Devlin: Sorry, no Guarantees. And time's up! Here it comes!

But it was Ray's confession that really saved them.

Ray: Okay, I admit it! Slimer ate half a cookie, got slime all over the other half, and by accident without thinking about it, I....I ate it!

Demons (Groaning while they find it disgusting that Ray ate a Half slimed cookie.)

The Other Ghostbusters: Oh Ugh, that was nauseating Ray! Bleh! oh Ugh!

But believe me The Devil To Pay had some really funny lines.

The only other episode I remember was one where Peter is half asleep and sits down at the breakfast table..

Peter (Mumbling something)....

Ray: Translation Egon?

Egon: Coffee, Possibly Cookie....

Peter (Mumbling again)

Ray: What did he say this time?

Egon: Get out of my face, or eat flaming death!

Now that one was memorable.. and a friend and I used to kid each other about it.. and when Billy Ocean came out with his song, "Get out of my place, get into my car" My friend and I twisted the song around to be "Get out of my face, or eat flaming death!"

ah good times, good times..

:coyote:

These 2 scenes both come from the episode where they were hired to work as "consultants" on a Hollywood ghostbusters movie:
Winston (reading the cast list): Aykroyd, Ramis, Murray, and Hudson? Sounds like a law firm
and when a monster started attacking the lot:
(2 people flee a car, leaving the car door open)
Car (with a robotic voice): The door is ajar, the door is ajar
(monster steps on car door)
Car: the door is a mess
(monster steps on car)
Car (with distorted, dying voice): the car is a mess

Winston Zedmore up to bat against a super natural pitcher.

The pitcher blasts the ball out of his snout, it should be impossible for him to hit it, but he does it! Hits the ball, knocks it outta the park and the impact is so great it blasts him off his feet.

SOOOOO many great moments it makes my head spin! The above the theme song kicked in at the right moment.

Loved the line where they were making a proton pack on the fly and Ray s-- no, Peter said, "C'mon! The guys at NASA can do this on their lunchbreak!"

What else............... I'll be back with more.

Definately one of the best cartoons of all time. :anime:

I love the scene in the halloween special where Slimer dresses up as Peter and Peter dresses up as Slimer.

Slimer: I have been, like, uh, Slimed!

Peter: YES! I've been waiting 3 years to do that! 3 WHOLE YEARS!!!

And the scene later where Slimer in his Peter costume hits on Peter's Girlfriend causing her to run away screaming.

Peter: SLIMER! You're dead!!!

Slimer: Good observation Peter.

There may be others, but i forgot most of them.

Probably one of the greatest, most psychological episodes of the show The Man Who Never Reached Home

Winston Zeddemore: Y'know, you STILL haven't told us who this rider is?

Simon Quaig: I don't know- all's I know is he's been chasing me all this time!

Ray Stantz: But you can't keep running forever!

Ray Stantz: Mr. Quaig- for a hundred years, this ghost has chased and tortured you...turn the carriage around, and face him.

Simon Quaig: Tha-that's my face! All these years I've been running from...MYSELF!

I love that speach the Umpire spirit gives about how Evil is supposed to cheatr, because cheating is in the nature of evil. And then he goes on to say, if good were alowed to cheat, then good would become evil, and then evil would win the game. One of my favorite lines in animation.

Mine is obscure and maybe even didn't happen, but the way I remember it there's a scene where Peter does a combat jump across a barricade out of view. When he hits the ground he says something like "Ooh, that's concrete." I just thought that was funny, especially in Lorenzo Music's voice.

Mean Green Teen Machine-

Winston: Gee I don't know about this Egon. Remember what happened the last time we dug up the street.

Egon: It was an honest mistake Winston. They had the subway system pumped out within a few days. Besides, it washed out all the graffiti.

Winston: Yeah, along with all of the walls it was written on.
