The Q a good choice?

I'm up for the new every 2 here in a month or so and I was considering these two phones for my upgrade. Right now I'm using 2 devices and I would like condense that down to one.

I use my PDA for the calendar, some excel spreadsheets that I need keep up to date, and for navigation (microsoft streets).

I use my phone just as a phone, texting, and occasionally email. any suggestions?
 
With the Q, you might be able to open and read the office docs/spreadsheets, but you can't edit as it is a SmartPhone and not a PDA. You might want to consider a PPC device rather then the Q. I am not that familiar with Verizon's PPCs, but something like the new Cingular 8525 might fit your needs. (The 8525 will not work on Verizon's network.)
