The Peacemaker 31st May 2010

Just watched The Peacemaker starring George Clooney & Nicole Kidman that I recorded last night BBC1.

Unfortunately my PVR had finished the two hour recording as George & Nicole dived through the church window just as the bomb exploded.

Anything of any importance happen after that or did they just get it together?

have only ever seen this film once, and that was on at the cinema back in 97 or whenever.

I had a similar problem last time it was shown. Mine stopped just after that bit as the camera was panning up the street.

Thankfully it didn't happen this time so I'm not sure what the cause is.

I'm sure your problem was the same as mine koantemplation, The film was running late and the PVR switched off after the two hours it was set for.

I was watching via freesat and using a Humax HDPVR.

Is that similar to your setup?

I had recorded the film simply by selecting it from the EPG. My PVR then recorded it from the scheduled start time to the scheduled finishing time. The film started a few minutes late and finished late also. Therefore my PVR switched off before the film ended. I didn't bother adding time to the end of the recording unfortunately. My cheapo PVR, a Thomson, doesn't do it automatically.

Ah that's probably why my recording was a little further on, I had 1min padding.

Looks like the automatic signals were not sent and it just used the EPG times.
