Opposing somebody that you oppose even though they will win anyway is "country second"? Weird, I didn't realize "country" meant "do whatever LOLbama wants because he's going to win".

Kagan is the closest judge to the center that Obama will probably ever nominate, and the GOP is opposing that nomination? What if they somehow successfully filibuster her? The next nomination would probably be more liberal, which would look bad on the GOP for nrabroad
taking the more conservative candidate.

IOW they are banking on her getting successfully confirmed despite their "filibuster" and they plan to somehow score political points with this. Lucky for the dems, however, most people are seeing through this bullshit by now.
 
Lol she's gonna get hammered at the confirmation. I suspect she'll come out just fine though.
