Now that i have been off it for 4 days my hot flashes are back and flashier than ever! I'm a guy by the way, so it's not menopausal! But yea, i always would get them, out of nowhere too, and just start feeling really hot on my face and chest, even if i wasn't in a social situation, i could just be sitting down and get the sudden feeling of heat.
So I noticed while on the effexor, no matter how much i thought about the flashes, they wouldn't come! But now that i'm off just thinking about them causes me to flash up! I'm thinking maybe cause the effexor helped with some of my OCD tendencies?
This stinks though, cause even though the flashes are supposedly harmless, they are uncomfortable, (anyone who gets them knows) Just to start getting really hot and sweating.
Too bad these SSRI's don't help me with my anxiety though! But yea if you got the flashes a SSRI would most likely definitely help. I don't know what to do now though, i don't want to take another SSRI, especially just to help with the hot flashes, since they do jack for my anxiety. Are their any kinRAB of specific type of meRAB for OCD other than SSRI's that might help?
