I am in 8th grade and I am writing a ballad. My book I am writing it on is The Old Man and the Sea. I am having writers block! Can anyone help me come up with some verses telling the story? I have the chorus. My format I am using is ABCB. Thanks!

I tried to continue the story from the first answer's stanza

Eighty-fifth no bite, so the old man takes to the Gulf.
Finally a great marlin gets the hook but pulls the boat
2 nights it's tug and pull, the fish becomes brother to man
3rd and counting, the fish circles the boat that keeps afloat

Well - I'll give one stanza a go!

Santiago the fisherman is fishing alone
Eighty four days and eighty four nights
Luckless and fishless he sailed the seas
Hoping and praying for a fish in his sights.
