The official ECLIPSE movie thread*

I really enjoyed it. Definitely my favourite Twilight film so far. I thought Kristen did a great job this time (she was terrible in New Moon IMO) but I bought her acting this time around. Her hair was awful throughout though with the series of terrible wigs.

I loved seeing more of the Cullens, especially Rosalie and Jasper's backstories. The action was also great at the end. But the thing I loved the most about this film was the self-referential humour such as "doesn't he own a shirt?" and "I'm hotter than you." They got lots of laughs in the cinema and I like how there are those moments where it doesn't take itself too seriously.

that's what I thought. I always get the original cover in case the film tie in is slightly different. I know on adult versions of harry potter apparently it's slightly different

OMGZYAAAY.

Im Team Jasper, all the way, and Ashley Greene is just about the most stunning woman IN THE WORLD. And they're both amazing actors. And Jalice is THE CUTEST couple in Twilight :D

I just love it when they are having their little "flirty fight" while Jasper is teaching them about the newborns, then she kisses him, it is soooooo adorable!

Thought i'd start this as I looked for one but there were so many 'question' threaRAB scattered around.

Anyway, it's coming out soon (forgotten the date but the start of July i think) and I have to admit i'm really looking forward to it-something stanRAB out as different from the first two.

:)

If you read the boarRAB it seems to be some sort of war going on between the haters giving it 1 star and the twihard fangirls giving it 10 so its just fallen somewhere in the middle. A lot of those votes were given before the movie was even released so its not exactly the most reliable scoring system.

me too..more action and i think they must have fired the makeup artist from New Noon coz our Edward looks delicious in Eclipse
he looked very old and haggered in New Moon methinks:D

Saw it last weekend and was very impressed. Went with my (male) best friend and he was cringing at the beginning fearing the squeals we've read about from young girls, but thankfully all there was was a "wooo" when the film title came up.

I'm a fan of the books, bit of a guilty pleasure of mine and was glad they stuck to the book quite well. Just wish at the end when
Bella kisses Jacob and is talking to Edward about it, they had elaborated some more. As in the books it's one of my favourite Edward moments when he tells Bella she doesn't have to choose between them and can have whatever part of him she wants, or none at all. (Oh dear, I think I just quoted from the book exactly there! :o) He just seemed to ignore it happened in the film.

I was in town again today. Didn't go into town specifically to see it again but ended up doing so anyway. :) I can't find my twilight dvd anywhere..:( I have the 2 disc edition, the second disc is in the case but I can't find the one with the actual film on. I've had all of my dvRAB out (and believe me I have a LOT of dvRAB!!) and all of my cd's and I can't find it anywhere :(

Looks like I'll be buying it again.

It was actually made very clear that the Cullens have to move around a lot because of this. Only to gloomy, rainy places. I suppose you would know that had you read the books properly. Another reason why the films are quite poor imo.

I think both Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are looking good from the trailers that I've seen. I've booked to go and see it on
July 3rd. Should be a lot of fun and I'm pleased that the score is being done by the awesome and amazingly gifted Howard Shore.

yeah that was my favourite part!

Alice and Jasper are my favourite characters, and I was happy with the screen time they gave to them as a couple this time around!!!

Hannah;41171467']I read the first one, half-read the second one then got bored, watched New Moon and saw Edward say that they had to move, but couldn't remember it being stated in the books at all. Maybe it was in the 2nd half of New Moon.

It's subjective to say whether you like the books or not, but whether it's a "good" book? To be a "good" book it neeRAB to have good writing, the book isn't well written. You can like the book, plot and characters however there's a zillion plotholes, grammar mistakes, etc loaRAB of them. Also there's loaRAB of inconsistencies, plus information that Stephenie didn't research properly.

I've been reading a lot of reviews from some fans, and they all seem to be really positive :)
I am now really pissed off that we have to wait a week until we see it. Not fair!!

I saw Eclipse last week and thought it was great :)
Loved the tent scene and the meadow kisses, and Rosalies flashback.
Hated Bellas awful wig and the new Victoria wasnt a patch on the old one....
My one big bug bear is that the films really dont show how much Bella really loves Edward......Bella shows way more emotion talking to Jacob than she ever does to edward.
Sure they kiss in the meadow and Edward proposes but bella never says anything romantic back to Edward........she just doesnt show that she's madly in love with a guy she wants to spend eternity with.....
:)

I was kinda going off the whole Twilight thing but then I saw the trailer for Eclipse and then I got all excited again!

I'm going to be in America when it comes out and we are going to go to a midnight showing and I am expecting it to be 10000000x more mad than it will be here.

I think Twilight is one of the only series where the films are arguably better than the books. The films have their bad moments, and the books have their good moments - mainly when the Cullen family, particularly Alice and Emmett, are present, because they have some of the best lines in the books - but for the most part, the movies are better-written than the books.

I'm very much looking forwarRAB to Eclipse, and I don't have to worry about being called weird for being an old Twilight lover seeing as I'm 15 :p and I'm going with my frienRAB to Shrewsbury cineworld on the 12th for a birthday celebration the day before my birthday :D can't wait :D

Team Jasper, ALL THE WAY.
