The Obama puppy: Is not the amount of news coverage this dog gets just sickening?

I'm not a hater (or lover) of President Obama, nor do I believe he is to be blamed for the degradation of actually journalism now a days.

But the amount of new coverage that dog gets is ridiculous.
In this great broken world of ours, is there nothing more worthy of sharing?

Thoughts?
 
There is so much "chatter" in the news now, it's almost like they run out of stuff to report then just grasp to make things look important, or newsworthy.
