sandwiches & servings! Boycott? Should we boycott the restaurants that come up with monstrosities like the "Double Whopper" and the "Baconator"? Why don't they just call it what it is: "The Assinator"? You might as well just slap it on your thighs and watch your jeans expand!
One Nation: I agree with you. I have educated myself about how unhealthy BK and other fast food restaurants are--I haven't eaten at BK in years. Did you know that BK fries are sprayed with a combo of salt and fat so that they have a texture that absorbs more grease when they are deep-fried? Yum!
If I do eat fast food, I usually get a small hamburger, and a plain baked potato, usually from Wendy's...I don't drink soda, either...and I am not a fat American, but I am very picky about my food and where it comes from and how it is prepared.
John M: Every kid ought to have to watch that film in 4th or 5th grade....a little education can go a long way toward setting proper habits! I've been after my son to quit drinking soda, to no avail. Finally, it paid off when I showed him article that it can cause weak bones--he plays hockey and football and can't risk a break--who knew what it would take, but I am so glad he is off the sugar!
