"The New Age of Animation"

Hmm, I just have to say he's right. If "The Princes and the Frog" ends up being successful, cold-hearted executives will smell the money and head over there. Well, Dreamworks might not, but who knows. Pixar will just say where it is with CGI animation, but I won't be surprised if they bring out one or two 2D, hand-drawn films. Or, it could end up as an equal mix of CGI and 2D films. However, if "The Princess and the Frog" fails, then the film animation industry will stay where it is, being dominated by CGI. Then all hope will turn to the next Disney 2D film...or perhaps some out-of-the-blue 2D film from some "unknown" animation studio will triumph in the box office. Only time will tell.

Every single show could be changed to CGI, but if the jokes are lame, story is lame, characters are lame, then it's laaaammmeeeee.

I've said it before, but here it is one mo' time:

Hand drawn animation isn't going anywhere.

CGI will not replace all other forms of animation. That's just paranoia.

CG is just another art form.
